Sorgh Vliet Lodge

We are a cosy, wheelchair friendly guesthouse with five units, of which two cottages are self-catering, However all our guests are welcome to relax and enjoy a leisurely breakfast on the verandah. We offer a quiet and peaceful venue with wonderful mountain views from all aspects of the garden.

Our river embankment is a quiet place to dream, watch the sunrise and enjoy the dawn chorus. The beautiful skies, the passing clouds, mist descending and a galaxy of stars in the night sky all give a feeling of peace, belonging and eternity.

Sorgh Vliet Lodge is our little bit of paradise where we welcome one and all.

A few minutes walk down the lane and you are at the World of Birds, a treat for all the family. It's a five minute drive by car to the beach where you can find a great variety of restaurants, interesting shops and the beginning of Chapmans Peak scenic drive.

After a long day exploring, relax in the garden as our vast mountain basks in the glow of a glorious African sunset. You can have a braai by the pool or enjoy a meal in one of Hout Bays great restaurants ....

The Stables

For those who love horses, we have a TTouch Practitioner who offers workshops and consultations at Sorgh Vliet Lodge Stables.

The Tellington TTouch Equine Awareness Method is a teaching method for horses that incorporates body work, ground exercises and riding exercises to help improve co-ordination, balance, and athletic ability whilst deepening further communication and understanding between the horse and its owner/carer.

Late check out policy:

Check out time are flexible depending on demand. Please notify us of your arrival time so that we can be here to welcome you. For those arriving before 12.00 am please note that in the case of a change over your room may not be ready.

Policy on children staying with parents:

Children are welcome!

Cancellation Policy:

Should you have reason to cancel your booking we would appreciate it if you could notify us at the earliest. Late (10 days prior to arrival date) cancellations and "no shows" will not be entitled to a deposit refund.

Other disclosures:

Unfortunately we do not allow our guests to bring their pets, however an exception can be made by prior arrangement in case of persons with disabilities.
